Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 7 points in a four-way match-up in the battleground state of Virginia, according to a Roanoke College poll released Thursday — although that’s down from a larger advantage she had held last month.
In a four-way contest, Mrs. Clinton was at 44 percent, Mr. Trump was at 37 percent, Libertarian Gary Johnson was at 8 percent, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein was at 1 percent with 9 percent undecided, according to the poll of likely voters released Thursday.
In a head-to-head match-up, Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump by 11 points, 51 percent to 40 percent.
But last month, Mrs. Clinton had led Mr. Trump by 16 points in a four-way contest and by 19 points head-to-head in a Roanoke College poll.
A separate set of Fox News polls released Wednesday showed Mr. Trump leading by 5 points in Ohio, 5 points in North Carolina, and 3 points in Nevada.
Mrs. Clinton, meanwhile, was holding onto a 2-point lead over Mr. Trump in a head-to-head match-up in Wisconsin, according to a Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday.
And Mrs. Clinton had a 9-point lead over Mr. Trump in New Hampshire, according to a Monmouth poll out Wednesday.
