The Dalai Lama’s mocked Donald Trump’s hair and mouth while giving an impression of the Republican presidential nominee during an interview Thursday.
Appearing on “Good Morning Britain,” the Buddhist spiritual leader was asked by Piers Morgan to give his thoughts on Mr. Trump.
“I don’t know, sometimes when you see him, the way his hair… [puts hand on forehead]… or something like that, and his mouth is small [mimics Trump’s mouth]… that is my impression of him, but I don’t know,” the Dalai Lama said, the Daily Mirror reported.
The 81-year-old said he has never met Mr. Trump before but would consider visiting him in the White House if he became president.
“That depends, you see, on him. If he invite me then I would go,” he said.
In the wide-ranging interview, Mr. Morgan asked the Dalai Lama what he thought of the Islamic State terror group.
“I think there is too emotion, they should cool down,” the spiritual leader responded.
“Genuine Muslim practitioner will not create bloodshed,” he said.
