ST. LOUIS — Donald Trump jabbed Hillary Clinton in the presidential debate Sunday for referencing Abraham Lincoln, saying she wasn’t anything like “Honest Abe.”

Mrs. Clinton said that her remarks to Wall Street bankers that she needs two positions, public position and one private position, was in the context of talking about the movie Lincoln.

“She lied. Now she is blaming the lie on the late great Abraham Lincoln. That’s one,” said Mr. Trump. “Honest Abe never told a lie, that’s the big difference between Abraham Lincoln and you.”

“That’s a big big difference,” said Mr. Trump.

Mrs. Clinton was responding to a question about leaked email detailing some of her remarks in paid speeches to Wall Street bank executives. Mr. Clinton has refused to release transcripts for the speeches.
