SEATTLE (AP) - Motorists around Seattle could find added travel headaches this weekend as both the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the State Route 520 floating bridge will be closed.

Seattlepi.com reports (https://goo.gl/xiK0QI ) the viaduct which runs through downtown Seattle will be closed for a semiannual inspection Saturday and Sunday.

The state Department of Transportation is also closing the 520 bridge through the weekend to install tolling equipment and perform maintenance work.

Drivers can check state Department of Transportation travel alerts before they hit the road and can check the Seattle transportation department traveler’s information map for more information.
