COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Gov. John Kasich (KAY’-sik) says he definitely will not support Donald Trump.

The Republican governor had declined to endorse his former primary rival. Kasich was one of the last GOP candidates to drop out of the primary after it became clear there was no viable path to stopping Trump.

On Saturday, Kasich described Trump as “a man I cannot and should not support.”

He said, “I will not vote for a nominee who has behaved in a manner that reflects so poorly on our country.”

Ohio Republican Party Chairman Matt Borges says there will be no punishment for state GOP officials who drop their support of Trump over his crude comments about women in a 2005 video.

Ohio is a must-win state for Trump in the November election.
