ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis has been scratched from the starting lineup for Game 2 of the AL Division Series at Texas.
The Blue Jays announced about an hour before first pitch of the afternoon game that Travis was out of the lineup because of right knee irritation.
Travis was initially listed in the leadoff spot against the Rangers and right-hander Yu Darvish.
Manager John Gibbons moved left fielder Ezequiel Carrera from the No. 9 spot in the batting order to the leadoff spot. Darwin Barney took over at second base and batted ninth.
Travis was 0 for 5 but scored a run when the Blue Jays beat the Rangers 10-1 in the ALDS opener.
