Credit rating company FICO to expand Bozeman office

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Software analytics and credit rating company FICO plans to expand its office in Bozeman.

CEO Will Lansing announced Wednesday that FICO plans to move its 20-person Bozeman office to a downtown spot and hire another 50 people over the next 18 months. The expansion was announced at a news conference that included FICO executive vice president Wayne Huyard and Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Gianforte, a FICO board member.

The San Jose-based company has long had a handful of employees working remotely from Bozeman. It opened a sales and service office in Bozeman in March. Huyard says the company hopes to move to its new office in the next six months.

FICO uses its credit score rating system and data analytics to evaluate loans and help predict consumer behavior. It has 3,000 employees worldwide.
