For the first time since Angelina Jolie left him in mid-September, Brad Pitt has visited his kids, People magazine reported Thursday, citing an unnamed source.

“Brad loves his children more than anything in this world, and they matter more than anything else to him,” People quoted the source as saying. “He will do whatever it takes to be with them, now and always.”

Mr. Pitt reportedly got into a heated altercation with the couple’s oldest child on the family’s private jet on Sept. 14, an incident which precipitated Ms. Jolie filing for divorce days later. He is currently cooperating with investigations from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and he even voluntarily submitted a urine sample to the agency, the New York Daily News reported on Sept. 28.

Based on a “temporary plan” with DCFS agreed to by the divorcing Hollywood power couple, “a therapist was likely present when Pitt met with his children for the first time,” explained People. In addition to counseling sessions, Mr. Pitt “will also continue voluntary drug and alcohol testing.”

Ms. Jolie, who is reportedly seeking sole physical custody of the children, is reportedly living in a rented house owned by director Bryan Singer.
