SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A body found in a retention pond at a Detroit-area apartment complex has been identified as a missing 18-year-old woman.
Shelby Township police say Thursday that foul play is not suspected in the death of Madyson Redpath-Kirkwood. An autopsy has been performed. Police are awaiting additional test results.
The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens reports that police had been looking for Redpath-Kirkwood after she was reported missing Sept. 23.
Contractors reported seeing her body Wednesday morning at the Oak Hill Apartments in Shelby Township, north of Detroit.
