GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - President Barack Obama is returning to North Carolina next week to show his support for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the presidential campaign’s final month.

Clinton’s campaign says the president will speak on her behalf at a Greensboro public event next Tuesday and urge people to vote early. Early in-person voting begins Oct. 20.

The announcement Wednesday comes a day after first lady Michelle Obama campaigned for Clinton in Charlotte and Raleigh.

The president leaves office in January. He and Clinton held their first joint campaign event in Charlotte back in July.
