JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The FBI’s Mississippi operations are getting a new leader.

Christopher Freeze, most recently section chief of the foreign terrorist tracking task force in Washington, D.C., will become the new special agent in charge of the Jackson Division in November.

FBI Director James B. Comey made the announcement last week.

Donald Alway, who has led the Jackson office for more than two years, has been named deputy assistant director of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

Freeze started work with the FBI in 1996, working at offices in Virginia and Texas and with the FBI Counterterrorism Division.
