Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday said running mate Mike Pence “won big” in Tuesday’s vice presidential debate, saying Sen. Tim Kaine’s “constant interruptions” “should not have been allowed.”

“The constant interruptions last night by Tim Kaine should not have been allowed. Mike Pence won big!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Mr. Trump live-tweeted the Tuesday debate, and also shared others’ social media takes, including one user who said Mr. Kaine “looks like an evil crook out of the Batman movies.”

The Republican National Committee released a video Wednesday documenting more than 70 times that Mr. Kaine interrupted Tuesday’s proceedings.

And Jason Miller, Mr. Trump’s campaign spokesman, said Wednesday on CNN’s “New Day” that the Clinton-Kaine campaign is “completely unhinged.”

An instant CNN/ORC poll showed 48 percent of voters who watched the debate thought Mr. Pence did the better job, compared to 42 percent for Mr. Kaine.
