NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Officials in Nashua, New Hampshire, say seven people died of drug overdose deaths in the city in September, the highest amount for a monthly total this year.
WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2dBaAfV) there have been three deaths in October already.
Nashua has recorded 50 overdose fatalities so far this year. Manchester has had 77 fatalities linked to opioids and 597 overdose calls this year.
First responders in Nashua said they would like to adopt a program that Manchester has been using, but funding isn’t available. Under the Safe Stations program, anyone seeking help with addiction can go to a fire station and be immediately connected with the resources they need.
