ZURICH (AP) - FIFA says Chile has been banned from playing a World Cup qualifier at its national stadium and the country’s soccer federation has been fined because of the repeated discriminatory and unsporting conduct of its fans.

In a Tuesday statement, FIFA says the ban applies for the March 28 game against Venezuela at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos in Santiago. The federation was fined 65,000 Swiss francs ($66,300) for two unspecified cases.

FIFA says its disciplinary committee also fined several other federations for crowd trouble: Honduras (65,000 Swiss francs), Albania (50,000), El Salvador (45,000), Italy (30,000), Mexico (30,000), Peru (30,000), Paraguay (25,000), Argentina (25,000), Canada (20,000) and Brazil (20,000).
