RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - President Obama has added events in North Carolina to campaign for Hillary Clinton this week.
Clinton’s campaign announced Monday that the president would visit Fayetteville and Charlotte on her behalf Friday. The campaign previously said Obama was holding a rally at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Wednesday.
The president will headline get-out-the-vote events. The campaign says Obama will urge North Carolinians to take advantage of one-stop early voting. He will also explain his support for Clinton and her vision of an America. Details on the visits have not been announced.
North Carolina is a key state for both Clinton and Republican Donald Trump in the Nov. 8 voting. Obama carried North Carolina in 2008. Republican Mitt Romney won in North Carolina in 2012.
