YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Rep. Dan Newhouse leads his 4th Congressional District challenger Clint Didier in fundraising.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports ( https://bit.ly/2f7SfEg ) the Newhouse campaign raised $250,338 in the third quarter of the year, while Didier’s campaign raised $44,986, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission earlier this month.
Newhouse still had more than 10 times more cash on hand - $333,024 compared with Didier’s $27,910 as of Sept. 30.
All told, Newhouse has raised more than a million dollars during this campaign, including $642,000 from political action committees representing many national business and special interest groups.
Both Newhouse and Didier are Republicans. Newhouse defeated Didier in 2014.
