Two people with knowledge of the situation tell The Associated Press that the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to terms with Steven Adams and Victor Oladipo on four-year contract extensions.
Adams is finalizing a deal worth $100 million and Oladipo is getting $84 million. The people requested anonymity because the deals have not been announced. They come with hours to spare before Monday’s midnight Eastern deadline.
Getting deals done now ensures neither player will get to restricted free agency next summer and redefines a core around Russell Westbrook now that Kevin Durant is in Golden State.
Oladipo came to the Thunder in a trade with the Magic this summer, one that sent Serge Ibaka to Orlando. Adams has emerged as one of the most talented centers in the league.
Yahoo Sports first reported Oladipo’s agreement.
