MIAMI (AP) - Haitian-Americans have traditionally supported Democrats, but Hillary Clinton has been getting criticized by Florida’s Haitian community.

The Miami Herald reports (https://hrld.us/2fhQ0TL ) some in the Caribbean country’s diaspora are frustrated with the Clinton Foundation’s earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti.

Ralph Kenol, a Broward County Democrat, said he voted for Green Party candidate Jill Stein because he thinks Clinton and other Democrats have taken black voters’ support for granted.

The head of the Democratic Haitian American Caucus of Florida says he’s told Clinton to visit Miami’s Little Haiti, as Republican Donald Trump has done. Dr. Laurinus Pierre says Clinton has made mistakes but Haitians risk losing political influence without her.

Clinton’s campaign has a Little Haiti office, where Cassandra Theramene said Clinton’s plans include “comprehensive immigration reform to help keep Haitian families together.”
