Texas Jack’s Barbecue (2761 Washington Blvd., Arlington) will host a Tears & Beers Election Day Watch Party on Nov. 8 to celebrate the end of this election season. Guests can watch election results on four TV screens during an extended happy hour from 4 p.m. to closing. Draft beers and house wines for $5, along with some special dishes, will be offered at the bar.

Bastille (606 N. Fayette St., Alexandria) is presenting a five-course “Birds and Burgundy” dinner Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The menu highlights seasonal game birds and wines from Burgundy to pair. Dinner is priced at $89 with pairings, $50 without.

Espita Mezcaleria (1250 Ninth St. NW) will feature a mezcal de pechuga during November. (“Pechuga” means breast in Spanish.) When a Mexican mezcal is redistilled with local fruits, grains and nuts, a raw chicken or turkey breast is hung over the still, and the mezcal “cooks” in the vapors. One-, 2- and 6-ounce pours will be available throughout November.

The Park Hyatt Washington (1201 24th St. NW) celebrates autumn with a new three-course tea service in the Tea Cellar on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. through May 7. The menu includes savory bites and pasties, and is priced at $55 per adult and $30 per child.

On Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., 14K Restaurant (1001 14th St.NW) will pick up the tax on all food and beverage purchases while guests enjoy live music by James Stevens. And every Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the restaurant will offer sampler flights of wine, bourbon and tequila for a special price.

The Ben Ali Family has opened another “Ben’s” restaurant. The newest is Ben’s Upstairs (1001 H St. NE), with a menu of “Southern with a twist of Caribbean” food.

Ambar’s second location at 2901 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington is open. The Balkan menu’s small plates are priced from $5 to $19; large platters of mixed grilled items (serving two) are priced from $28 to $34. The $39 per person price for unlimited food and featured beverages, when ordered by the whole table, will be available at the new location.

Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca (1100 New York Ave. NW) is showcasing black and white truffles through November with regional Italian fare featuring a variety of innovative yet traditional antipasti, house-made pastas and entrees highlighting the white truffle. These special dishes range in price from $45 to $65 for black truffles and $85 to $100 for white truffles.

Blue Duck Tavern and Blue Duck Lounge in the Park Hyatt Washington feature rare magnums by the glass with 4-ounce pours, every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through January as part of the weekly “Blue Duck Uncorked” wine program. The pours are priced at $30 each and include wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Italy.

Thanksgiving favorites will be served in the Willard Intercontinental Hotel’s (1401 Pennsylvania Ave. NW) Willard and Crystal ballrooms on Nov. 24, with seatings at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. The meal is priced at $110 for adults and $55 for children.

From Nov. 18 to Dec. 25, Cafe du Parc in the Willard will offer baked goods to take home, including candied pecan pumpkin pie, gingerbread chocolate cream pie, and citrus-cranberry crumble apple pie. To order a pie, call 202-942-7000.

A Thanksgiving dinner for eight, featuring a 16- to 18-pound roasted or fried Cajun-style turkey with four sides, biscuits with house-made pepper jelly and choice of a pie, will be available at Acadiana (901 New York Ave. NW) for $175. The bird alone will be available for $105; all items are available a la carte. To order, call 202-408-8848 before 5 p.m. on Nov. 17 for pick-up on Thanksgiving Day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

At Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery (1515 N. Courthouse Rd., Arlington, and 901 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) Chef David Guas is offering his pies, including Virginia peanut, sweet potato, apple crumble, classic pecan and Bourbon chocolate chip, starting at $20 for Thanksgiving. Southern-stye savories will be available. Early birds who order savory sides and nibbles (but not pies) by Nov. 10, will receive a 15 percent discount and a free pint of cranberry-orange preserves on orders of $50 or more.

For Thanksgiving and Christmas, Esencias Panameas (3322 Georgia Ave. NW) will prepare authentic Panamanian side dishes to-go, including Panamanian fruit cake (available exclusively for Christmas). Sides will be available as a full, half or quarter tray. Food orders must be placed via the website https://shop.esenciaspanamenas.com.
