FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear has announced the arrests of 10 people facing more than 400 counts of possessing child pornography or soliciting a minor.
The arrests stem from a 10-day operation in nine counties dubbed “Operation Shielded Child.”
The arrested included 32-year-old William Crowe of Scottsville; 45-year-old Phillip Farley of Walton; 63-year-old Barry Moravec of Burlington; 33-year-old Douglas Ray Judy of Frankfort; 53-year-old Eddie Rowe of Lancaster; 47-year-old Eric Easley of Vine Grove; 34-year-old Daniel Rike of Nicholasville; 47-year-old Scott Hardesty of Independence; 58-year-old David Dunn of Dayton, Ohio; and 32-year-old Gary Stoops of Shelbyville. Dunn was arrested in Georgetown.
Beshear, a Democrat, said his office was assisted by the Kentucky State Police, Homeland Security Investigations and the police departments in Georgetown, Frankfort, Lancaster, Nicholasvile and Shelbyville.
One case from the investigation is still pending.
