MOORE, S.C. (AP) - An Italian manufacturer of adhesive materials is building a plant in Spartanburg County expected to create 150 jobs.

Company and state officials announced Monday that Ritrama plans to invest $85 million into the facility near the intersection of Interstate 26 and U.S. Hwy 221 in Moore.

Officials say the 350,000-square-foot facility will be the company’s North American headquarters.

Grading at the site began last December. The plant is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2017. Hiring will begin later this year.

The state has approved tax credits for the company and provided Spartanburg County a $150,000 grant to help pay for site improvements.
