RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - President Obama and Vice-President Biden are coming to North Carolina next week to try to get Hillary Clinton across the finish line first on Election Day.
Clinton’s campaign announced Friday that the president will campaign for the Democratic nominee in the Raleigh area Wednesday. The vice president is scheduled to be in the Charlotte area Tuesday.
The campaign already announced that running mate Tim Kaine will visit Jacksonville and Sanford on Monday.
Democrats see winning North Carolina’s electoral votes a major step toward defeating Donald Trump. Trump running mate Mike Pence was slated to speak in Smithfield on Friday and Jacksonville on Saturday.
Clinton and first lady Michelle Obama already held a large rally this week in Winston-Salem.
