MAKOTI, N.D. (AP) - The Flying Farmer is getting ready to fly again.

John Smith of Makoti became known in the 1990s and early 2000s for car stunts that earned him the nickname “Flying Farmer.” He also set a couple of Guinness world records for driving in reverse.

Smith hasn’t jumped a car since March 2003. But the Minot Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2dXuOzS ) that he’s planning to jump over a burning mobile home Sunday afternoon in Makoti. He’s charging $10 per ticket and says he hopes “to put on a good show.”

Smith says his wife asked him if he’s lost his mind. But he says luck has been with him through the years, with injuries amounting to a few cracked ribs.
