MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Supporters of independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin are hoping to catch the attention of football fans before the University of Wisconsin game Saturday against Nebraska.
McMullin backers announced Thursday that they will be distributing information about the longshot outside of Camp Randall stadium before the game Saturday night.
McMullin has been surging in the polls in Utah and drawing large crowds at rallies as he becomes the conduit for conservative voters fed up with Republican Donald Trump.
He’s won backing from some conservatives in Wisconsin, including influential conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes.
McMullin is a registered write-in candidate in Wisconsin, meaning votes for him will be counted on Election Day.
