CINCINNATI (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton will return to Ohio this weekend to campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign says Bill Clinton will be in the Cleveland and Columbus areas on Saturday, with details to be announced later.

The former president returns to Ohio to campaign for his wife as early voting continues in the battleground state ahead of the Nov. 8 election.

Turnout is expected to be critical in the contest between Hillary Clinton and Republican rival Donald Trump, who scheduled visits to Ohio on Thursday. Polls have indicated a seesaw race in the state.

No Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio.

This story has been corrected to show that Clinton plans to visit Cleveland and Columbus, not Cincinnati and Columbus.
