Donald Trump was three blocks away from the White House Wednesday, and President Obama’s spokesman implied the Republican nominee will never get any closer to the presidency.

“Google Maps — it’s like three blocks,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said of the new Trump International Hotel at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue.

“The two places are not that far away, but there’s a big difference between standing in the hotel and standing in the White House.”

The address of the White House, of course, is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Mr. Trump visited his new hotel for its grand opening Wednesday.
