COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A Hayden man has pleaded guilty in connection to a fatal head-on crash that killed a father and his two young daughters.

The Spokesman-Review reports (https://bit.ly/2dWloED ) that 28-year-old Ryan Turner on Tuesday pleaded guilty to three felony counts of vehicular manslaughter. Kootenai County prosecutors say they will recommend a fixed sentenced of 10 years and an indeterminate sentence of 20 years when Turner is sentenced Jan. 31.

Police say Turner was driving his pickup truck northbound in the southbound lane on U.S. Highway 95 Sept. 12, 2015, when he crashed into an incoming car. The crash took place just south of Athol.

The crash killed 33-year-old Mathew-Michael Baroni of Spokane and his daughters, 8-year-old Madilyn and 6-year-old Molly.
