Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly blasted FBI Director James B. Comey Tuesday night after “damning” WikiLeaks documents revealed Hillary Clinton’s inner circle reacting to her secret email server scandal.

Stolen documents belonging to campaign chairman John Podesta show Mrs. Clinton’s former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, telling staffers in March 2015 to “clean this up” pertaining to the scandal. Mr. O’Reilly said that email, coupled with another by adviser Neera Tanden saying Mrs. Clinton’s team “wanted to get away with it,” constitutes proof of criminality ignored by the FBI.

“There’s your smoking gun,” Mr. O’Reilly said, Mediaite reported Tuesday. “Why didn’t the director of the FBI tell the American people about that email? Why? The campaign itself, the Hillary Clinton machine itself, is admitting this is bad and they’ve got to do something, and Comey doesn’t think it has anything to do with the investigation? […] Comey didn’t mention it! He’s the FBI director! No politics! He’s the investigator. He didn’t blanking mention it. That is so damning!”

It is highly probable that FBI agents who examined Mrs. Mills’ laptop would have seen her March 2015 email, but it is not clear how much access the agency had to Mr. Podesta’s documents.

“The FBI is aware of media reporting on cyber intrusions involving multiple political entities, and is working to determine the accuracy, nature and scope of these matters,” an FBI spokesperson said in a statement released Oct. 12.

Mr. Comey appeared on national television July 5 and said that while Mrs. Clinton was “extremely careless” with the nation’s most sensitive intelligence, his agency would not recommend prosecution by the Department of Justice.

“Any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton’s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for [official conversations],” the FBI director added.

Mrs. Mills was granted immunity for participating in the agency’s investigation, and U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch officially closed the case on July 7.

“It’s obvious the FBI booted the investigation, I believe intentionally now,” Mr. O’Reilly told his panel. “It’s obvious Hillary Clinton did not tell the truth about her private email server beyond any reasonable doubt. And now, the American public has to go and vote for president.”
