URBANA, Ill. (AP) - The University of Illinois says it will open a new center at the Urbana-Champaign campus that will be focused on business analytics.
The university said Tuesday that it is using a $5 million donation from the Deloitte Foundation to open the University of Illinois-Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Analytics. The foundation is the nonprofit arm of Deloitte, the consulting, audit and tax firm.
The center will be based in existing facilities and focus on training students to use data for business analytics.
According to the release, more than 700 Deloitte employees are University of Illinois graduates.
