GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) - A manufacturing materials distributor based in Germany says it’s expanding its headquarters in Indiana and plans to add up to 60 new jobs.
Wurth Service Supply Inc. made the announcement on Monday, the same day ground was broken on the project. The company plans to invest $11.5 million to build and equip a 230,000-square-foot warehouse in Greenwood, south of Indianapolis. The company has had a presence in Indiana since 1948 and employs 100 full-time workers.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Wurth Service Supply up to $400,000 in conditional tax credits based on job creation plans. The city of Greenwood also offered additional incentives.
Indiana officials say Germany is the third-largest foreign investor in the state.
