LOS ANGELES (AP) - Two burglars who led authorities on a wild chase through Los Angeles that ended with a party-like arrest won’t have much to celebrate for a while.
Herschel Reynolds and Isaiah Young were sentenced Thursday to two years each in state prison.
Prosecutors say the men were involved in a burglary at a Cerritos home in April followed by a long chase through L.A. including Hollywood Boulevard, where the car stopped to do “doughnuts.”
During the chase Reynolds, a discharged Marine driver, collided with other cars and Young stood in the open-top Mustang and danced.
The two finally stopped in their South Los Angeles neighborhood, getting high-fives from a crowd as they waited to be arrested.
The men pleaded guilty last month to burglary and driving recklessly while fleeing peace officers.
