MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Neither of the two top Republican seeking office in Vermont this fall agrees with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump that this fall’s vote could be compromised by voter fraud.
And both U.S. Senate candidate Scott Milne and Lt. Gov. Phil Scott say they will accept the results of the Nov. 8 election.
In a statement, Milne says it’s “utterly irresponsible to cast doubt on the veracity of outcomes lacking any evidence whatsoever.”
And he says that “win or lose, of course, I will accept the verdict of the people.”
Scott says he disagrees with Trump and he does not have any concerns over the integrity of the election. And throughout his political career he has said the person with the most votes should be elected.
