RENO, Nev. (AP) - Bernie Sanders is calling on Reno voters to make sure Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump doesn’t win the election.
Sanders campaigned for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton on Wednesday at the University of Nevada, Reno.
The Vermont senator also urged Nevada residents to support Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto on Nov. 8.
Sanders says electing Clinton and Cortez Masto will help progressive policies, such as a $15 minimum wage and paid family leave for new parents, become a reality.
He says the key to moving the country forward is by not electing Trump.
