ATLANTA (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect more than two weeks after a College Park man was shot and killed outside a gas station near downtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/2ekUCFB ) reports that Dominique Jackson was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the Oct. 2 shooting death of 36-year-old William Respress Jr.

Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones says Respress was arguing with a small group of people outside a Shell gas station when a car carrying Jackson and three other men pulled up. Police say Jackson took out a gun and shot Respress multiple times in the torso. The victim died at the scene.

Another man who was arguing with Respress was grazed by a bullet.
