Gary Johnson: Hillary Clinton told ‘biggest whopper’ during debate

Gary Johnson said Wednesday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that the biggest lie told during the final presidential debate came from Hillary Clinton.

The Libertarian presidential nominee said he has major problems with plans proposed by both major presidential candidates, particularly Donald Trump’s immigration policy and Mrs. Clinton’s federal spending.

“It’s crazy the notion of deporting 11 million undocumented workers — in New Mexico, how’s that going to work where half the population is Hispanic?” said Mr. Johnson, The Hill reported.

But “the biggest hoo-hah of the evening,” he continued, “the biggest whopper was when Hillary said, ’Hey, I’m not going to add a penny to the deficit.’ Come on.”

“Maybe she meant that literally,” Mr. Kimmel joked. “She’s not going to add a penny to the deficit.”

Mr. Johnson laughed, adding, “$30 trillion, maybe, but not a penny.”

The third-party candidate also said he would respect the results of the election, regardless of the outcome.

Asked during Wednesday night’s debate whether he would respect the election results, Mr. Trump said he would have to “look at it” when the time comes. Mrs. Clinton called that prospect “horrifying” and said he was “talking down our democracy.”

Mr. Trump thumbed his nose at the ensuing backlash, telling a crowd in Ohio on Thursday that he would respect the election’s outcome “if I win.”
