SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A man accused of stabbing a stranger inside a McDonald’s bathroom in Spokane allegedly told police he hurt the victim because he “was taking too long in the stall.”

The Spokesman-Review reports (https://bit.ly/2eravrY ) that the 53-year-old suspect was arrested after the Sunday incident.

Court documents say he slashed the man’s face and wrist several times while in the men’s bathroom.

The victim reported to police that he had exited the stall and moved around the suspect to wash his hands when he felt something hit his face. He says he then wrestled the suspect to the floor while yelling for help.

Court records show several people came into the bathroom and helped hold the suspect down until police arrived.
