JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a worker was killed in a construction accident in Jefferson City.

The Cole County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as Korey Licklider, of Steelville.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said in a news release that he was killed Monday in an accident that involved a concrete pump truck. OSHA said he was struck by a device called an outrigger that is used to stabilize the truck.

The man’s employer, Booker Foundation and Flatwork LLC, didn’t immediately return a phone message from The Associated Press early Wednesday.
