Michael Moore is debuting a surprise movie about Donald Trump Tuesday night at New York City’s IFC Center.

The liberal documentary filmmaker has been teasing the film, titled “Michael Moore in Trumpland,” online since last week, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“Yes, some rumors may be true. I ’might’ be putting the finishing touches on an ’October Surprise’ for this election Then again…” Mr. Moore tweeted Saturday.

The “Where to Invade Next” creator announced the free screening Monday night on Twitter.

“Hey NYC- Who wants a peek @ what I’ve been up 2? Tues, 9:30pm, IFC Center. TIx free, 1st come, b.o. opens 8:30pm,” he tweeted with a photo from his editing room, which included an image of the Republican presidential nominee’s children: Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr.

Mr. Moore will reportedly be in attendance at Tuesday night’s screening. The film will begin its theatrical run Wednesday at the IFC Center.

“See the film Ohio Republicans tried to shut down. Oscar-winner Michael Moore dives right into hostile territory with his daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand in the weeks before the 2016 election,” the official synopsis reads.

The project is an iteration of Mr. Moore’s one-man play, which he said was banned last month from the Midland Theatre in Newark, Ohio, because officials there found him to be too controversial, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The theater said, however, that the decision not to finalize Mr. Moore’s contract was based on several factors, including a too-short time frame and questions about what the production involved, THR reported.
