GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump said he could see meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin prior to inauguration day if Mr. Trump is elected president.

“If I win on November 8, I think I could see myself meeting with Putin and meeting with Russia prior to the start of the administration,” Mr. Trump said on radio host Michael Savage’s show Monday.

“The problem is Putin has no respect for Obama, doesn’t like him and doesn’t respect him, and Obama doesn’t like Putin,” he said.

“She talks tough with Russia. She shouldn’t be talking so tough,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“She ought to know what she’s doing, and frankly, if we got along with Russia and knocked out ISIS, that would be a good thing, not a bad thing,” he said.

The Obama administration has blamed Russia for the Democratic National Committee hack over the summer, and Mrs. Clinton’s campaign has pointed fingers at Russia as WikiLeaks continues to release emails appearing to reveal some of the inner workings of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign and the Obama administration.
