Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling said Tuesday that he will challenge Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the 2018 election if he can get the green light from his wife.
“I’ve made my decision. I’m going to run,” Mr. Schilling said during an interview on WPRO-AM. “But — but — I haven’t talked to Shonda, my wife. And ultimately it’s going to come down to how her and I feel this would affect our marriage and our kids.”
Mr. Schilling has been flirting with a Senate bid for months and has emerged as top defender of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Mrs. Warren is a star among liberal Democrats.
NECN reported that Mr. Schilling was making three stops in New Hampshire on behalf of Mr. Trump.
