Initially, both the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles struggled to move the ball offensively, but a 35-yard reception by DeSean Jackson, a 15-yard run by Matt Jones and a 16 yard touchdown reception by Jamison Crowder heated up the game, giving the Redskins a 7-0 lead after the first quarter.

Cousins has completed five of his eight passes for 82 yards. Jackson has recorded three receptions for 51 yards, and Jones leads all Redskins backs with 17 yards on two carries.

Offensively, the Eagles have struggled. Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has completed just two of his six passes for 21 yards. Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan has taken advantage of rookie tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai. Kerrigan has one sack on the day. Overall, the Redskins have sacked Wentz twice.
