DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Anthony Lawrence threw for four touchdowns as San Diego remained undefeated in the Pioneer League, beating Drake 38-7 on Saturday.

Lawrence had 259 yards on 19-of-29 passing for the Toreros (5-1, 4-0). Brian Riley and Ross Dwelley caught two touchdowns apiece and Jonah Hodges ran for 112 yards.

The Toreros led the Bulldogs (3-4, 2-2) throughout the game, beginning with Lawrence’s 17-yard touchdown pass to Riley in the first quarter. Tevin Heyward ran for a score midway through the second and Lawrence followed with an 8-yard touchdown throw to Dwelley to make it 21-0 with 2:36 to go before the break. Patrick Murray kicked a 44-yard field goal to put San Diego up 24-0 at halftime.

Drake’s Drew Lauer prevented the shut-out with a 9-yard scoring run with 7:38 left in the game. Starting Bulldogs QB Grant Kraemer - who was replaced in the fourth quarter - had 116 yards passing and one interception.
