LONDON (AP) - Pigs did fly in the second-tier English match between Charlton and Coventry on Saturday.

One minute had elapsed at The Valley when a flurry of small plastic pigs was thrown from the stands in a protest by both sets of supporters.

Charlton’s fans are disgruntled by the tenure of club owner Roland Duchatelet, and Coventry supporters are disenchanted by the running of their club by hedgefund group Sisu. The match was preceded by a march to the stadium by a large number of Charlton and Coventry supporters, who called on each set of owners to sell up.

The match resumed following a five-minute delay after stewards cleared the playing surface.
