NEW YORK (AP) - Kevin Anderson went 18 of 27 for 270 yards and five touchdowns - four in the first half - and Fordham beat Yale 44-37 on Saturday.

Makay Redd kicked a 20-yard field goal to give Fordham a 44-30 lead with 2:06 remaining. Yale answered with an 8-play, 65-yard drive, capped by Dale Harris’ 3-yard rushing touchdown with 21 seconds left, but the Bulldogs’ onside kick didn’t go the necessary 10 yards.

Fordham (4-2) was in control for most of it as they led 27-15 at halftime and 41-23 after three quarters.

Anderson had scoring strikes of 15 yards to Robbie Cantelli and 55 yards to Corey Caddle in the first quarter for a 14-8. After Yale went ahead 15-14, Anderson found Austin Longi for a 15-yard TD and Caddle scored from 19 yards out with 52 seconds left in the half.

Fordham safety Caleb Ham returned an interception 63 yards for a score and Anderson connected with Cantelli again for a 69-yard TD late in the third.

Harris rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns for Yale (1-4).
