ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Lara Trump says an 11-year-old tape of her father-in-law Donald Trump making vulgar boasts is merely a distraction.
Eric Trump’s wife spoke Wednesday at a Women for Trump rally in Albany, New York. She asked the audience if they really believed the explosive tape was just discovered on Friday, when the Washington Post broke the story.
Speaking to reporters after the speech, Lara Trump said the tape does not reflect the man she knows.
Lara Trump also told reporters her father-in-law’s recent attacks on fellow Republicans came because he is a fighter. She said voters will back her father-in-law regardless of what comes out on any tapes or what he says on Twitter.
