BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Mohave County Airport officials say American Airlines will provide daily scheduled passenger service to and from Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport starting early next year.

Service will begin Feb. 16 with a daily nonstop American Eagle flight leaving Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport at 2:35 p.m. and arriving at Laughlin/Bullhead at 3:40 p.m.

Another daily nonstop flight will leave Bullhead City at 4:13 p.m., arriving in Phoenix at 5:15 p.m.

The Mohave Valley Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2e6G3nI) that six seats on the 70-seat plane will be reserved for first-class passengers.

County Airport Authority president John Hastings says he’s been trying to secure service with American Airlines for 18 years.

He says a recent study indicates the new air service will generate a regional economic impact of more than $13 million annually.
