Verizon Chairman and CEO Lowell McAdam joked Monday that this election season makes him want to put his head through a wall, lamenting that Donald Trump would be an “unpredictable” president and Hillary Clinton would just be more of the same.

Mr. McAdam was asked his thoughts on the 2016 presidential race during the Internet Association’s annual conference in San Francisco, Politico reported.

“Yeah, well, I probably won’t talk a lot about that. Can I choose another,” the 62-year-old CEO joked. “I try not to watch too much of this stuff anymore. It makes me want to put my head through the wall.”

He said Mr. Trump “could be very unpredictable,” but Mrs. Clinton would be “more of a continuation of the last eight years” under President Obama.

“It’s hard to know what a Trump presidency would look like at this point,” Mr. McAdam said on stage, Politico reported.

When it comes to big investments and mergers, there are “a lot of businesses that are sort of waiting to see, and I think, depending on the election, the more we think it will be disruptive,” the less of that activity there might be, Mr. McAdam said, according to Politico.
