ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The head of New Mexico’s Presbyterian Healthcare is leaving his position for the help of one of the largest not-for-profit health care systems in the country.
The Albuquerque Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2d5lWJo ) that Presbyterian President and CEO Jim Hinton announced Monday that he is leaving to work at Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas.
Hinton has been at the helm of Presbyterian Healthcare for the past 21 years and is only the sixth executive to lead Presbyterian since its founding in 1908.
Presbyterian is New Mexico’s largest health care system and one of the state’s biggest private employers, with 11,000 employees.
Dale Maxwell has been named interim CEO of the company.
