RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Connor Brickley from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Brody Sutter.

The swap of prospects was announced Tuesday.

Brickley is a 24-year-old who made his NHL debut last season and had one goal and four assists in 23 games with the Panthers. The Hurricanes say he will report to their AHL affiliate in Charlotte.

Sutter - the 25-year-old son of former Panthers coach Duane Sutter and a member of one of hockey’s most celebrated families - has played in 12 games over two seasons with the Hurricanes but has yet to record a point.
