AMBRIDGE, Pa. (AP) - Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been keeping up his attacks on Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton during a campaign appearance in western Pennsylvania.

Trump told several thousand supporters in the working class town of Ambridge in Beaver County that he was proud of treating “the blue collar workers that make this country run with tremendous respect.”

He pledged to improve the nation’s trade deals and crack down on illegal immigration while acknowledging that his recorded crude comments about women were wrong.

But he also leveled attacks on former President Bill Clinton’s treatment of women and said he himself was being condemned for words, not deeds.

Trump has made Pennsylvania a lynchpin in his electoral strategy but has consistently been trailing in the polls.
